September 5th, 2023 at 9:50am ESTArmenian (45) 1@Lookn007 The M113 5.4 never had a "head bolt" issue. It is one of the best motors Mercedes made, like @YAFA replied, 200k miles is no problem. You probably confused the 5.4 V-8 with the later 6.2 V-8 which did have head bolt issues for about a year and a half or two years of production. So from initial production date to about 2009 or early 2010, but best way is check the serial number against the official list. We have not perform replacement of the head bolts, in these cars the head bolts can last up to 200,000 miles. On another note after an extensive diagnostic performed there was no sign of anything related to that need.
