2010 Jaguar XK Leather dash issue. See pics

The 2010 Jaguar XK (X150 chassis) is notorious for several specific dashboard-related defects. The most common and well-documented dash issues for this model year include: 1. Leather Shrinking, Bubbling, and Peeling This is the single most widespread aesthetic defect, affecting roughly 70% of X150 Jaguar XK models. The Problem: The factory adhesive fails over time, especially when exposed to heat and sunlight. As the leather dries out, it shrinks and pulls away from its backing. What to Look For: You will see bubbles or waves in the leather (particularly over the passenger airbag area) and a visible gap where the leather has pulled away from the defroster vents at the base of the windshield. The Fix: Regluing it rarely works once the leather has shrunk. A proper repair requires completely removing the dashboard and sending it to an upholstery shop to be entirely recovered, which is incredibly labor-intensive and expensive.
