As @ProdigalPetrolHead mentioned, the factory wood/leather steering wheel was optional on facelift cars under Code 289 (Leather Steering Wheel with Trim Insert), and this car is so equipped. It pairs beautifully with the interior. This example has been Florida-owned, carefully maintained with documented service history, and kept indoors, which reflects in the undercarriage condition. I appreciate the kind words.February 17th, 2026 at 12:39pm EST$20,000 bid placed by @GoRexGoFebruary 17th, 2026 at 12:16pm ESTProdigalPetrolHead (0) 2@Mika Facelift cars got them. VERY Similar to my S550 I sold several years ago. I can't emphasize enough how great that car was. https://thembmarket.com/2012-mercedes-benz-s550-4maticFebruary 17th, 2026 at 11:44am ESTMika (6) 1Never seen a steering wheel like that. Were the wood spokes optional? Spotless undercarriage, where did you find this beauty?February 16th, 2026 at 5:43pm ESTthembmarket (691) 1Additional photos have been added to the gallery. I think we all know the answer! Good luck with this auction while I try explaining to my lovely wife why I need a fifth vehicle! :-)February 15th, 2026 at 4:57pm EST$19,500 bid placed by @Lookn007February 15th, 2026 at 12:47pm EST$18,500 bid placed by @Jme2711February 15th, 2026 at 11:57am EST$18,000 bid placed by @Lookn007February 14th, 2026 at 9:24pm ESTthembmarket (691) 1A video has been added to the listing. The current cover presents very well, aside from the missing emblem, so we ordered a new one from Mercedes and chose to keep it as such for the next owner. Some customers like to receive brand new OEM parts with their original packaging. We’re happy to install it prior to delivery (at no cost of course as it takes seconds) at the new owner's request. I’ll be uploading photos of the new cover
