2014 Chevrolet CAMARO COPO #49 of 69

Vehicle Description 2014 Chevrolet CAMARO COPO #49 of 69 $84,250 "2014 Chevrolet COPO Camaro COPO No. 49 of the 69 cars produced for 2014, this investment-grade example has never been raced. Power is delivered by a supercharged 350 CI V-8 engine, which is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Originally delivered to the Chevy Exchange in Lake Bluff, Illinois, this excellent 2014 Chevrolet COPO Camaro was later purchased from Black Dog Racing. In addition to the Silver Ice Metallic paint finish and Flat Black graphics package, this all-out, modern drag racing icon features a lightweight carbon fiber hood with tall ZL1-style air scoop, Weld wheels, Hoosier racing tires and, of course, a set of wheelie bars, a rear electrical shut-off switch and drag 'chute. A COPO purchase certificate, issued by GM Performance, documents original details and specifications. The story behind Chevrolet COPO Camaros was that they were first shown as a SEMA concept and unleashed for sale in 2012. Chevrolet's modern COPO Camaro was purpose-built after five years of intensive development work to take on the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak for NHRA Sportsman-class competition. Just 69 were produced, precisely matching the 69 ZL1 Camaros manufactured for drag racing use under Chevrolet's infamous COPO (Central Office Production Order) system back in 1969. Of those 69 modern COPO cars produced, two were convertibles and 67 were coupes. Depending on the drag-racing class considered, available COPO Camaro power choices included a supercharged, 5.3L LSX with 2.9L capacity blower, a naturally aspirated 7.0L V-8, or a supercharged 350 CI LSX. These all-out, factory-built drag cars are totally worthy of their hallowed designation and were launched to ""instant icon"" status. This turn-key drag car is ideal for serious racers or collectors looking to add a rare and iconic vehicle to their garage. Exceptionally well-maintained and in pristine condition, 2014 COPO 049 is a standout example from one of the most celebrated modern muscle car programs ever built.
