KEY FACTS This Land Rover Defender 90 is a highly-collectible limited-production 4x4, in sought-after Heritage Edition guise. Under the bonnet sits a turbocharged 2.2-litre diesel inline-four, driving all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. First registered in 2015, this example was delivered new to France, where it has reportedly remained since. The odometer displays circa 45,600 kilometres. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The limited-edition ‘Heritage’ model was launched in celebration of Land Rover’s history, and features ‘HUE 166’ exterior and interior badging in recognition of the oldest surviving Land Rover, and the first Series I produced. Other features include Grasmere Green paintwork, black and Almond cloth seats, body-coloured steel wheels, an Alaska White roof, retro-styled mudflaps, Indus Silver door hinges, and a Heritage-style grille for a 1940s appearance. It rides on a correct set of 16-inch body-coloured steel wheels. Equipment includes a wooden-rimmed Lode Lane steering wheel, side and rear steps, electric windows, heated front seats, heated front and rear screens, air conditioning, and an Alpine stereo. Rear seat cushions and wood-effect flooring has been fitted. Accompanying the sale is the owner’s manual, various invoices, and the original removed steering wheel.
