Vehicle Description 2016 Freightliner M2 106 $44,995 2016 Freightliner M2 106 Retractable-Roof Specialty Cargo TruckWhy absorb the cost and immediate depreciation of replacing a specialized commercial truck when this proven, low-mileage Freightliner is serviced, inspected and ready to generate revenue today? This 2016 Freightliner M2 106 has traveled only 38,132 original miles and combines dependable commercial-grade running gear with an extremely versatile 24-foot Supreme cargo body. Power comes from a Cummins ISB 6.7-liter turbodiesel engine paired with an Allison automatic transmission. The truck is also equipped with air brakes, air-ride suspension and a 26,000-pound GVWR.What separates this truck from an ordinary box truck is its Cramaro retractable tarp roof. The roof opens to provide overhead access to the cargo compartment, allowing oversized, tall and difficult-to-handle materials to be loaded by crane or overhead equipment. Once loading is complete, the roof closes to protect the cargo from the weather. The 24-foot main cargo floor is supplemented by an approximately five-foot over-cab attic, providing additional storage and nearly 29 feet of maximum upper-level cargo length. The interior is equipped with a durable wood floor, multiple rows of cargo-control track, wood tie rails and a side-access cargo door.At the rear is a heavy-duty Dhollandia cantilever liftgate rated for up to 4,400 pounds. This is substantially more capable than the lighter liftgates typically installed on conventional delivery trucks. Its large platform provides excellent access for machinery, palletized freight, production equipment and other substantial loads. This truck was previously operated by a commercial rental fleet serving the entertainment and production industries. It was purpose-built to transport oversized equipment, staging materials, displays, scenery and other cargo that cannot be handled efficiently by a traditional enclosed box truck.Equipment and specifications include:- Only 38,132 original miles- Cummins ISB 6.7-liter turbodiesel engine- Allison automatic transmission- Air brakes- Air-ride suspension- 26,000-pound GVWR- 10,000-pound front axle rating- 21,000-pound rear axle rating- 24-foot Supreme commercial cargo body- Approximately five-foot over-cab attic- Cramaro retractable tarp roof- Dhollandia DHLM.20 cantilever liftgate- Maximum liftgate capacity of 4,400 pounds- Rear overhead cargo door- Side-access cargo door- Wood cargo floor- Multiple rows of cargo-control track- Exterior underbody storage compartments- 11R22.5 commercial tires- Air conditioning that blows cold- Fresh Pennsylvania safety inspection- Recently serviced- Fresh engine oil and filter changeThe truck starts, runs and drives properly, the air conditioning is cold, and it has just been serviced and Pennsylvania inspected. The body shows cosmetic wear consistent with prior commercial use, but this is a solid, low-mileage working truck with an unusually valuable and difficult-to-replace cargo configuration.A comparable truck equipped with a specialized retractable-roof body and commercial 4,400-pound liftgate would require a substantial investment to duplicate. This truck allows the next owner to take advantage of years of depreciation while acquiring a proven commercial platform that is ready to work immediately.Ideal applications include entertainment production, event services, machinery transportation, cabinet and countertop delivery, glass and architectural materials, trade-show equipment, fabricated products, lumber, pipe, oversized palletized freight and mobile equipment operations.Offered at $44,995 plus applicable tax, plate fees and a $394 documentation fee.
