2024 Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano

When Ferrari unveiled the 296 GTB in 2022, it marked not only the introduction of Maranello’s first road-going V6 since the legendary Dino 246 GT, but also the beginning of a new era for the marque’s mid-engine berlinettas. Combining a compact, twin-turbocharged six-cylinder with a plug-in hybrid system derived from Formula 1 technology, the 296 GTB redefined what a modern Ferrari could be—both thrillingly analog in feel and astonishingly advanced in execution. At the heart of the car lies the 2.9-liter, 120-degree twin-turbocharged V6, codenamed F163, paired with an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Together, they deliver a combined 819 horsepower, allowing the 296 GTB to sprint from 0–60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 205 mph. The hybrid system’s instantaneous torque and near-seamless power delivery imbue the car with an immediacy and precision that evoke Ferrari’s most celebrated naturally aspirated engines. This example is specified with the Assetto Fiorano package, the most focused and track-oriented specification available. Named for Ferrari’s Fiorano test circuit, the package introduces Multimatic dampers derived from GT racing, extensive carbon-fiber weight reduction (including the door panels and underbody), a Lexan rear window, and the option of a high-downforce front splitter—together reducing weight by approximately 33 pounds while enhancing agility and aerodynamic performance.Finished in a striking black and red livery over a black interior, this 296 GTB presents an assertive, motorsport-inspired aesthetic that underscores its purpose-built nature. Inside, the cabin blends minimalism with technical sophistication: digital instrumentation, sculpted carbon-fiber trim, and Alcantara surfaces recall the cockpit of a modern endurance racer, while Ferrari’s distinctive manettino steering controls ensure intuitive mastery of the car’s dynamics. At the time of cataloguing, this example shows just 166 miles from new, effectively in as-delivered condition. As a 2024 model-year car, it benefits from Ferrari’s latest software calibration, refined hybrid management system, and comprehensive factory support, including the balance of its original warranty and seven-year maintenance program.A landmark model in Ferrari’s ongoing evolution, the 296 GTB bridges the lineage of classic mid-engine berlinettas—beginning with the 206 GT and culminating in the F8 Tributo—with the technological sophistication demanded of the next generation. In Assetto Fiorano specification, it stands as the purest and most visceral expression of Ferrari’s hybrid performance philosophy. This low-mileage, black and red over black example represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Maranello’s most celebrated modern achievements in its most desirable configuration—an instant collectible, equally suited to the concours lawn or the pit lane at Fiorano itself.
