2024 Ineos Grenadier

DescriptionFew modern SUVs combine traditional 4x4 engineering with contemporary powertrain technology quite like the 2024 INEOS Grenadier Trialmaster. This particular example has traveled just 6,591 miles since new and is finished in a beautiful Dark Green exterior over a black interior with leather seats and brushed aluminum trim. Its CARFAX is reported as clean, showing one owner and California ownership history. Under the hood is the BMW B58 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, producing 281 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. Power is managed through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and a permanent four-wheel-drive system. Unlike many modern SUVs that rely heavily on electronically simulated traction solutions, the Grenadier utilizes serious mechanical hardware, including a mechanical two-speed transfer case, locking center differential, locking front differential, and locking rear differential. The Grenadier's underlying construction is equally noteworthy. It utilizes body-on-frame construction with a solid front axle and solid rear axle, retaining an exceptionally traditional approach to four-wheel-drive engineering. Its suspension employs a coil-sprung five-link arrangement at both the front and rear, while steering is handled through a hydraulic recirculating-ball system. Together, these components give the Grenadier a mechanical configuration that stands distinctly apart from the independent-suspension, unibody layouts found in many contemporary SUVs. Its specialized equipment continues with all-terrain tires and a raised air intake, further emphasizing the Trialmaster's off-road-focused configuration. A second battery and factory auxiliary electrical preparation provide additional capability for supporting accessories. These are functional pieces of equipment that complement the Grenadier's heavy-duty chassis and four-wheel-drive hardware. Inside, the Grenadier delivers one of the most distinctive cabin layouts found in a modern SUV. This example features a black leather interior with brushed aluminum trim, along with heated front seats. Its distinctive Safari roofs add another recognizable element to the cabin, while the centrally positioned 12.3-inch infotainment screen serves as the primary display for vehicle information and entertainment functions. Perhaps no interior feature communicates the Grenadier's personality better than its aircraft-style overhead controls. The roof-mounted switchgear places important vehicle and auxiliary controls overhead, creating a cockpit-like layout unlike the conventional dashboards found throughout much of today's SUV market. What ultimately makes the Grenadier Trialmaster so unusual is the sheer combination of traditional mechanical components beneath a modern vehicle. Body-on-frame construction, solid axles front and rear, permanent four-wheel drive, a mechanical two-speed transfer case, locking center, front and rear differentials, hydraulic recirculating-ball steering, five-link coil-spring suspension, a BMW B58 inline-six, ZF eight-speed automatic, raised air intake, second battery, and factory auxiliary electrical preparation all come together in one highly distinctive package. With only 6,591 miles since new, a clean CARFAX, one-owner California history, and the desirable Trialmaster configuration, this 2024 INEOS Grenadier offers an uncommon combination of modern BMW-sourced power and deliberately traditional four-wheel-drive engineering. For enthusiasts drawn to substantial mechanical hardware and the increasingly rare experience of a purpose-focused body-on-frame SUV, the Grenadier Trialmaster occupies a distinctive place among modern 4x4s.
