KEY FACTS This Ferrari 296 GTS is a thrilling and technologically advanced open-top supercar, blending a potent hybrid powertrain with stunning design and engaging dynamics. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 powerplant which is coupled with an electric motor, delivering a combined 819bhp to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. Despite weighing in at 70 kilograms more than the equivalent GTB, the GTS is still capable of reaching 100km/h in the same amount of time, a breathtaking 2.9 seconds. This example was first registered in Japan, and the odometer displays just 70 kilometres. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The 296 GTS features a rear-wheel drive plug-in hybrid (PHEV) architecture, which integrates the combustion engine with a rear electric motor. The two power units communicate through a TMA actuator, allowing tandem use or electric power only. It features a 50mm shorter wheelbase than the F8 Tributo, brake-by-wire, ‘Aero’ brake callipers, SMC-FRS magnetorheological dampers, and revised ABS controls. The folding hard-top roof of the GTS adds 70 kilograms in mass above the GTB thanks to chassis reinforcing components, but it maintains the same performance figures as its hard-roof stablemate, and the roof lowers in 14 seconds at speeds of up to 28 mph. This example is finished in Bianco Avus with ‘Scuderia Ferrari’ wing shields over a Rosso Ferrari leather-trimmed cabin with Bianco stitching and Cavallino headre
