Description
The Overview A Small V12, By Maranello’s Own Reckoning When Ferrari returned to six cylinders in 2021, it did so without apology. The 296 carries a V6 on a car wearing the Prancing Horse rather than the Dino name, and the engineers who developed it took to calling the unit the piccolo V12 — a reference to the 120-degree bank angle, which is wide enough to sit both turbochargers inside the vee and which gives the engine an even firing interval and a top end that climbs rather than merely arrives. The F163 BC displaces 2,992 cc and turns 8,000 rpm. Alone it makes 663 PS. A YASA-developed axial-flux motor, mounted between engine and gearbox, contributes a further 165 bhp, and the two together produce 830 PS — 819 bhp — with 740 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. Drive goes rearward through an eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle. Ferrari quotes 2.9 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed beyond 330 km/h, and the 7.45 kWh battery will carry the car some 25 kilometres on electricity alone. The GTS adds a retractable hardtop that stows in fourteen seconds at road speeds up to 45 km/h, and it costs the car 70 kilograms against the closed GTB. Little else separates them. 296 GTS # S0319488 Built at Maranello and delivered new on 30 April 2025 through Boch Luxe Ferrari of Norwood, Massachusetts, #S0319488 went to a single local owner — one who arrived holding the keys to his own 2024 296 GTB and traded it against the Spider. The car is finished in Grigio Scuro over Nero, with grey Alcantara seat centres, yellow contrast stitching, yellow belts, carbon fibre racing seats, and a carbon steering wheel with LED shift lights. It has covered 3,468 miles. Since arriving at AVI the car has been developed rather than decorated. A full Akrapovic titanium exhaust system replaces the factory unit; Brixton three-piece forged wheels in satin bronze sit over the yellow calipers; and a Novitec coilover suspension has been fitted and the car corner-balanced and aligned. The livery — twin yellow stripes flanking a grey centre band, run nose to tail, with a yellow pinstripe along the sills, splitter and diffuser fins — was executed to commission. Paint protection film covers the car including the windshield, over a full ceramic coating, and the glass is ceramic-tinted. Also fitted: skid plates, an Escort front and rear radar and laser system with five jammers, a magnetic plate kit, a one-touch controller for the roof, and a phone mount.
