This 1975 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 is a US-spec example that was reportedly delivered new to The Netherlands and acquired by the seller as a project around five years ago. This 1975 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 is a US-spec example that was reportedly delivered new to The Netherlands and acquired by the seller as a project around five years ago. A subsequent cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was carried out, including a repaint in Faggio and refreshes of the brakes, suspension, cylinder head, and gearbox. The 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-four has been fitted with dual Weber carburetors and is linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional features include beige vinyl upholstery, a Blaupunkt AM radio, air conditioning, 14” GTA-style alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and Euro-spec sidemarkers.
The seller states that replacement sheet metal was fitted at the bottom of the rear window, and the side sills, jack points, and front lower panels were replaced prior to a repaint in Faggio. A replacement windshield and Euro-spec sidemarkers were also installed, and the car is equipped with chrome front and rear bumpers with overriders.
The 14” GTA-style alloy wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Cinturato P4 tires sized 185/70. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs, and the seller notes that the calipers, pads, brake lines, shock absorbers, bushings, and wheel bearings have been replaced. A full-size spare is found in the trunk.
The cabin features front bucket seats trimmed in beige vinyl with matching door panels and black carpets. Woodgrain trim aLents the dash, and amenities include shoulder belts for front oLupants, a Veglia analog clock, Blaupunkt AM radio, and an under-dash air conditioner that is said to have been converted to R134a refrigerant.
A wood-rimmed Personal three-spoke steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation including a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset oil pressure display, auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, and a replacement 240-km/h speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows just under 96k kilometers (~60k miles) around 2k of which have been added during current ownership.
The 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-four has been fitted with dual Weber 40 DCOE carburetors in place of the factory SPICA mechanical fuel injection. Work performed during the refurbishment is said to have included rebuilds of the cylinder head, radiator, and carburetors, along with the installation of a replacement exhaust system, alternator, water pump, fan belt, battery, and coolant hoses.
The five-speed manual transmission is said to have been rebuilt with Goetze synchro rings, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential fitted with replacement shims.
