This 1980 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia is finished in Brilliant Orange over a brown interior and is powered by an air-cooled 2.0L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Amenities include a white Westfalia camper top, a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a stove, as well as a convertible bed, storage lockers, a folding table, and curtains. The van was delivered new to Volkswagen Santa Monica in California and was acquired in 2005 by the seller. Recent work consisted of servicing the brakes and performing an oil change.
The seller states the body was repainted in Brilliant Orange (E1) in 2020, and the fiberglass Westfalia camper top was also refinished in gel coat paint. The seals for the glass were replaced, along with the rubber for the top.
The 14″ steel wheels are equipped with full plastic covers and wrapped in Nexen tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums that were said to be recently serviced.
Manually adjustable front bucket seats are trimmed in gray cloth, while the contrasting carpets are covered by patterned floor mats. Additional equipment includes a heater, folding armrests, and an aftermarket CD player and door speakers. Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. The six-digit odometer shows 131k miles.
The rear compartment features a striped cloth bench that folds into a bed, a loft bed, and brown privacy curtains for the side and rear windows. Other amenities include two folding tables, cabinets, a sink, an electric refrigerator, a full set of window screens, snap-up privacy curtains, and a dual-burner gas stove. The seller states that the propane tank has been replaced in 2019 and is functional, along with the other interior equipment.
The replacement air-cooled 2.0L flat-four is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 70 horsepower. The battery has been replaced, and an oil change was recently performed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
