This 2002 Audi S6 Avant is a black-over-black wagon powered by a 4.2L V8 paired with a replacement six-speed manual transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive. The car was first registered in California and later moved to Oregon, where it was acquired by the current owner in 2016. Service in June 2021 consisted of replacement of the timing belt, brake light switch, a rear badge, and the spark plugs.
The body is finished in Brilliant Black and features factory fender flares as well as aluminum accents on the roof rails, mirror housings, and tailgate. The car is also equipped with xenon headlights, fog lights, a sunroof, a rear wiper, parking sensors, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists damage occurring to the front end in September 2016 and again in April 2017, with no further information provided.
Rotiform 18″ LAS-R wheels finished in black are wrapped in Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. The suspension is modified with 2Bennett Audimotive coilovers, SPC Performance adjustable upper control arms, and Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, and 2Bennett Audimotive front brake components are also fitted.
The cabin features heated and power-adjustable front seats trimmed in black leather, while burl wood trim accents the matching dashboard, center console, and door panels. Additional equipment includes an Alcantara headliner, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an Audi Symphony Bose stereo system.
The multifunction steering wheel fronts a 190-mph speedometer, an S6-branded tachometer with 7k-rpm redline, and additional gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil temperature, and voltage. Under 178k miles are shown on the digital odometer.
The 4.2-liter 40-valve V8 is modified with engine management software sourced from JH Motorsports, and a replacement 01E six-speed manual transaxle sends power to all four wheels through Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Work carried out in June 2021 consisted of replacement of the brake light switch and spark plugs, along with performing a timing belt service.
