This 2004 Volkswagen R32 is finished in Tornado Red over a black leather interior and is powered by a 3.2-liter VR6 linked with a six-speed manual transaxle and 4Motion all-wheel drive. Additional equipment and modifications include a glass sunroof, an aftermarket intake, coilover suspension, adjustable front camber plates, heated Konig front seats, and 18” alloy wheels. The car was sold new from Gensinger Motors in Clifton, New Jersey, and was acquired by the seller in February of 2020. Work performed under current ownership included performing an oil change as well as replacing the radiator, steering rack, battery, catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, and braking system components.
The car is finished in Tornado Red (LY3D) and features an R32-specific rear spoiler, bumper covers, side skirts, and twin polished exhaust outlets. Additional exterior equipment includes a glass sunroof and a rear wiper. The Carfax report lists accidents in 2009, 2010, and 2012 with damage to the front, right front, right rear, and left rear.
OZ Racing 18” Aristo wheels are mounted with 225/40 Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 front tires and Michelin Primacy mxm4 rear tires. The car is fitted with adjustable coilovers as well as adjustable front camber plates. The steering rack was replaced under current ownership, and braking system work included a fluid flush along with installation of replacement rear calipers and rotors.
The cabin features heated front Konig seats that are trimmed in black leather with embossed ‘R’ logos along with a matching black dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include brushed aluminum trim, automatic climate control, an AM/FM/CD cassette stereo, aluminum pedal covers, and GTI-branded all-weather floor mats.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 143k miles.
The 24-valve 3.2-liter narrow-angle VR6 was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque when new and is fitted with an aftermarket intake. Service performed under current ownership included replacement of the radiator, alternator harness, battery, catalytic converter, and oxygen sensors.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a Haldex-based 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
