This 1977 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was originally delivered to Cullerton Cadillac Company of Brookfield, Illinois and is reported to have remained with the original owner until 2011 before being acquired by the seller in August of 2020. It is finished in Frost Orange Firemist with a matching vinyl roof over an Antique Medium Saffron interior and is powered by a 425ci V8 mated with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes, a longhorn hood ornament, an ASC power sunroof, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, and a vintage-look digital stereo. Recent maintenance consisted of a tune-up and a replacement steering damper, ball joints, and front wheel bearing seals.
The car is finished in Frost Orange Firemist (YL2) and is equipped with a matching vinyl landau roof along with an American Sunroof Corporation (ASC) power sunroof conversion. The bumper-filler panels were previously replaced and painted, and additional details include opera lamps that are unique to the Biarritz trim level, cornering lights, and a longhorn hood ornament.
Steel 15” wheels wear color-matched Cadillac-branded covers and are mounted with 235/70 Vogue Tyre Wide Trac Touring tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. The steering gear box and front shocks were replaced in November 2020 while the wheel bearings, spindles, ball joints, and steering damper were replaced in May 2021.
The cabin houses a power-adjustable split front bench seat and a rear bench that are upholstered in tufted Antique Medium Saffron leather (674) along with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include a vintage-look digital stereo, faux wood trim, automatic climate control, cruise control, a telescoping steering wheel, Cadillac-branded floor mats, and power windows and door locks.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 85-mph speedometer and a five-digit odometer that shows 13k miles.
The 425ci V8 had a factory-rated output of 180 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The carburetor was rebuilt and the brake master cylinder replaced in July 2020, while the drive belt, thermostat, radiator hoses, power steering return hose, transmission pan and transaxle cover gaskets, and fuel filter were replaced in November 2020 along with a transmission fluid flush. A battery cut-off switch was added in May 2021, and a tune-up was performed with a new distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, and ignition wires.
