This 1966 Cadillac DeVille convertible is said to have resided in Colorado prior to the seller’s late father purchasing it in Wisconsin in 2002 and performing a refurbishment that included rebuilding the engine and transmission. Powered by a 429ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in a shade of ivory over a black vinyl and cloth interior. Equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power steering, and an AM/FM radio.
The car was refinished in an ivory color during a body-on refurbishment that is said to have been completed in 2003. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, stacked headlights, fender skirts, and black and red pinstriping. The power-operated black convertible top was replaced during the refurbishment and is complemented by a black boot cover.
Steel 15″ wheels with full covers are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires, and a jack and full-size Firestone Deluxe Champion spare are housed in the trunk. Braking is handled by drums on all four wheels.
The seats are said to have been sourced from a 1966 Cadillac coupe and are upholstered in black vinyl with cloth inserts. Equipment includes automatic climate control, power windows, black carpeting, and an AM/FM radio; air horns have been installed to supplement the factory horn.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts the horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. A Twilight Sentinel dial and an analog clock—neither of which is functioning—sit at either end of the speedometer. The seller believes that the five-digit odometer was reset during the car’s refurbishment; it shows 17k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The 429ci V8 produced 340 horsepower at 4,600 rpm when new, and is said to have been rebuilt during the car’s refurbishing.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission that is said to have also been rebuilt.
