This 1966 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is a 2+2 coupe that underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment under prior ownership before being acquired by the seller in June 2021. The car is finished in light blue over gray upholstery and is powered by an air-cooled 2.0-liter flat-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Painted 15″ alloy wheels wear staggered-width Nankang tires. The ride height has been adjusted with drop spindles, and stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in gray cloth with black inserts as well as matching door panels and gray carpets. Additional equipment includes a body-color dashboard, an aftermarket shifter, manual-crank windows, and square-weave floor mats.
A banjo-style steering wheel frames aftermarket instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and a tachometer. Ancillary gauges mounted below the dashboard include readouts for oil pressure and temperature as well as voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 827 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The air-cooled 2.0-liter flat-four was reportedly sourced from a VW Bus and is fitted with dual Weber carburetors, an Eagle camshaft, a ceramic-coated exhaust system, and a DTM cooling system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
