This 1960 Morris Minor Traveller was acquired by the owner in August 2016 and subsequently underwent a body off-frame refurbishment that included repainting the body, replacing the engine and transmission, reupholstering the interior, and rebuilding the suspension. Silver 13″ Panasport aluminum wheels are wrapped in 175/70 Doral SDL tires. Work performed during the refurbishment is said to have included installing a heavy-duty front sway bar, rebuilding the shocks and steering rack, and replacing the suspension bushings, and wheel bearings and seals. The seller states that the front brakes have been converted to drilled discs.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in green vinyl with a matching dashboard and carpets. The seller states that the carpets, headliner, and insulation have been replaced during the refurbishment. Interior details include lap belts, manual windows, and a glovebox.
The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including an 80-mph speedometer with an integrated fuel-level gauge, an analog clock, and gauges for voltage, water temperature, and oil pressure have been added during current ownership. The five-digit odometer shows 46k miles.
The replacement 1,275cc inline-four was reportedly sourced from an MG Midget and displacement has been increased to 1,340cc. Modifications are said to include installing larger pistons, an aluminum cylinder head, a Weber DCOE 45mm carburetor, a performance finned aluminum valve cover, and stainless steel tube exhaust headers. The seller states that the alternator charging system has been replaced, and the engine has been balanced and blueprinted. Additional work is said to have consisted of installing the following:
