This 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint is finished in red over a refreshed black interior and has been fitted with a 1.7-liter twin-cam inline-four and a five-speed manual transmission. The Giulietta Sprint was designed by Franco Scaglione at Bertone, and this example is finished in red. The seller notes that some paintwork has been performed, and stone chips are present in the finish.
Silver-painted 15″ wheels show signs of use and wear Alfa-logo hubcaps. They are mounted with 155-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that show 2013 date codes. Under previous ownership disc brakes were added up front and adjustable Koni shocks were installed at each corner.
The black interior has been refreshed with leather upholstery on the front bucket seats and the rear bench. The charcoal square-weave carpeting has also been replaced, and the seller notes that the headliner shows signs of age. Service has included replacing the heater valve.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel wearing a Nardi horn button sits ahead of Veglia instrumentation that includes a 7k-rpm tachometer with an oil-pressure gauge, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. Approximately 1,600 of the 70k indicated miles have been added by the current owner.
A 1.7-liter twin-cam inline-four has been installed and is said to utilize an aftermarket camshaft, a tubular exhaust header, a MagnaFlow muffler, a remote spin-on oil-filter housing, a polished valve cover, and dual Weber carburetors. The rear engine mount has been replaced, and the driveshaft has been balanced.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
