This 1972 Datsun 240Z is finished in maroon over black upholstery and is powered by an L28E 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by the current owner in March 2017 and subsequently modified with KW two-way adjustable coilovers, Techno Toy Tuning chassis components, a Stoptech braking system, Volk Racing 16″ wheels, Mikuni PHH 44 sidedraft carburetors fitted to a Harada intake manifold, an in-tank electric fuel pump, a Zstory S30 Race-Sport header and exhaust, Recaro front seats, a quick-release Momo steering wheel, Futofab front and rear black powder-coated bumpers, and a JP carbon-fiber lower-front fascia and hood.
The car’s exterior was refinished in its current maroon under previous ownership. A scratch is present on the front lip spoiler, and a set of uninstalled carbon-fiber fender flares accompanies the car.
Bronze-finish Volk Racing TE37V 16″ wheels wear 205/55 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires. Stopping power is provided by a Z-Car Garage Big Brake Kit with black calipers and slotted rotors at all four corners, and the suspension is fitted with KW Competition two-way adjustable coilovers. Service under current ownership included replacement of the brake booster and master cylinder with parts sourced from Z Car Depot along with the installation of four-lug Techno Toy Tuning wheel hubs with racing studs.
The cabin features black upholstery with matching trim and carpeting throughout. Equipment includes adjustable Recaro Specialist seats with a driver racing harness secured to a rear chassis brace along with a Panasonic CD stereo. The factory front seats are included in the sale.
A wood-rimmed Momo steering wheel features a quick-disconnect hub and fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, with auxiliary gauges extending into the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles.
The 2.8-liter L28E inline-six features Mikuni PHH 44 sidedraft carburetors fitted to a Harada intake manifold. Service and additional modifications under current ownership included the installation of an electric fuel pump and a Zstory S30 Race-Sport header as well as replacement of the fuel lines and engine mounts.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission reportedly sourced from a 280Z and refurbished by West Coast Standards of Riverside, California, in July 2018. A Techno Toy Tuning transmission crossmember, mustache bar, and drop mounts have been installed, as well as Z-Car Garage CV axles.
