This 1975 Datsun 280Z is finished in orange with a white roof over a white interior and is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six fitted with triple Weber carburetors and mated with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional modifications include a roll cage, electronic ignition, an oil cooler, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, Ground Control coilover suspension, a big brake kit, and 16” Panasport wheels. It was acquired by the seller two years ago and maintenance performed in the past six months is said to include replacement of the ignition coil.
The car was repainted during prior ownership and is finished in orange with a black, blue, and white stripe on the center of the hood, along with a painted white roof panel. The rear bumper has been removed, while additional features include a chrome front bumper, US-spec side markers and mirrors, Fairlady Z badging, and a single exhaust outlet.
Panasport 16″ wheels are mounted with 225/50 Bridgestone Potenza S007A tires. Suspension modifications consist of a Ground Control kit with coilovers, a strut tower brace, and Z-Car Garage high-performance CV axles. A Z-Car Garage big brake kit has also been installed.
The interior houses high-back bucket seats that are trimmed in white vinyl along with black door panels and carpeting. Appointments include an aftermarket stereo, rubber floor mats, and a body-colored half roll cage.
An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level are found above the center stack, though the oil pressure gauge is inoperable. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles.
The 2.8-liter L28 inline-six is fitted with triple Weber carburetors, electronic ignition, an oil cooler, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, and the seller reports that the ignition coil was replaced earlier in 2021.
The car was featured in the June 2016 issue of Foothills magazine, which states that it was sold new as a Fairlady and converted from right-hand-drive to LHD at some point.
