This 1978 Alfa Romeo Spider is finished in ivory white over a tan interior and is powered by a fuel-injected 2.0L inline-four mated with a five-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in ivory and features a black soft top as well as black US-spec bumpers, a chrome driver-side mirror, a power-operated antenna, and a central polished exhaust outlet.
Silver-finished 14” Turbina wheels are mounted with 185/70 Falken Sincera tires. A spare wheel with an older Michelin tire is housed in the trunk, and work performed in 2015 is said to have included rebuilding the brake calipers, replacing the rubber brake hoses, and a brake fluid flush.
The interior features seats trimmed in tan upholstery with matching door panels, a black dashboard, and beige carpeting. A Clarion AM/FM/cassette stereo is housed in the center stack, and additional equipment includes a locking glove compartment, an ash tray, lap belts, and door speakers. A tear is visible on the driver’s seat bottom.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and centrally-mounted auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 55k miles.
The 2.0-liter inline-four is equipped with SPICA mechanical fuel injection and sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Service in 2015 is reported to have included replacement of the catalytic converter, fuel tank, fuel pump, and muffler. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
