This 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SLP Firehawk convertible is #917 of the 1501 examples produced, and it is finished in Pewter Metallic over two-tone black and gray leather. Power is provided by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, 17″ chrome-finished wheels, Bilstein suspension upgrades, a Ram Air hood, a Hurst shifter, and a factory Monsoon stereo. The car was delivered new to Parkway Pontiac of Valencia, California, and remained registered in the state through the seller’s acquisition in 2017. Subsequent maintenance reportedly included fluid changes and replacement of the battery, rear pinion seal, and an axle seal.
The body is finished in Pewter Metallic (11U) and features a power-operated black soft top with a heated glass rear window. Additional features include pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, a Ram Air induction hood, quadruple exhaust outlets, and Firehawk badging.
Chrome-finished 17″ five-spoke wheels with Firehawk center caps wear 275/40 BFGoodrich G-Force Sport Comp-2 tires. The SLP package specified Bilstein shocks from the factory.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black leather with gray inserts and Firehawk-logo embroidery. Appointments include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, Firehawk-logo floor mats, a Hust shifter lever, cruise control, air conditioning, and a Monsoon sound system with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The seat covers were reportedly replaced under prior ownership, and the seller notes inoperable lumbar support in the front seats as well as a crack in the dashboard and separation of the passenger-side airbag cover.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering frames a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 59k miles.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was tuned by SLP Engineering to produce 345 horsepower. Features include a high-flow induction system, an intake manifold shared with the contemporary Z06 Corvette, and a high-capacity radiator. The battery was replaced in 2018 and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A rear axle seal was replaced in 2018 and the clutch fluid and rear pinion seal were reportedly replaced in June 2021.
The window sticker shows factory colors and equipment, initial delivery to Parkway Pontiac of Valencia, California, and a total vehicle price of $33,910.
Factory books and manuals are included in the sale along with recent service records, two remote key fobs, a copy of Mac Logan’s Firehawk: Fiercest of the Firebirds, an additional set of floor mats, a soft top boot, a replacement dash cap, a car cover, a front nose mask, and four 275/40 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires.
