This 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was first delivered to Bob Brown Chevrolet of Des Moines, Iowa, and is one of 2,025 Commemorative Edition models produced to celebrate the C5-R’s class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car is finished in Le Mans Blue over black leather and powered by a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Features include package-specific racing stripes and badging, polished wheels, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Bose audio.
All 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 models were finished in Le Mans Blue (19U) and equipped with a carbon-fiber hood and thinner glass for weight savings. Silver and red decal stripes adorn the hood, roof, and decklid, while additional features include commemorative Le Mans badging, pop-up headlights, Z06-specific side vents, and optional body side moldings.
Polished 17″ and 18″ aluminum wheels feature Commemorative Edition center caps and wear 265/40 front and 295/35 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The Z06 suspension featured a larger front stabilizer bar, firmer dampers, and higher spring rates than the standard Corvette. The car is equipped with active handling and traction control systems as well as four-wheel disc brakes with red calipers.
The cabin is trimmed in black and features power-adjustable leather seats with Corvette-logo headrests. Additional equipment includes a head-up display, driver position memory, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, a 200-mph speedometer, a digital information center, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer has 6k miles.
The 5.7-liter LS6 V8 was an upgraded version of the contemporary LS1, and revisions including a refined aluminum block, higher-lift camshaft, 10.5:1 compression ratio, and increased air and oil flow resulted in a factory-rated output of 405 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential with 3.42:1 gearing.
A window sticker, owner’s manual, and owner’s instructional CD are included in the sale.
