Description
This 1937 Packard 115-C convertible coupe underwent a build under previous ownership that included the installation of a 350ci LT1 V8, 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, Dana 44 rear end with 3.08:1 gears, and four-wheel independent suspension components sourced from a 1990s Chevrolet C4 Corvette. The car is finished in black over oxblood leather upholstery, and equipment includes power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, and custom chrome wire wheels. Exterior details include driving lamps, turn signals, a Goddess of Speed mascot, Packard-branded running boards, a black soft top with red piping, a rumble seat, dual taillights, an integrated luggage trunk, and a fold-down luggage rack. Inside, amenities include VintageAir climate control, an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo, custom mahogany dash panels, a Lokar shifter, a tilt steering column, and lap belts. This LT1-powered Fifteenth Series Packard was purchased by the seller in February 2026, and service performed under their ownership included the installation of MSD ignition, an HEI distributor, a Wilwood dual-circuit master cylinder, an electric brake booster internal vacuum controller, front Aldan coilovers, and rear gas shocks. The car was listed on BaT in October 2026 and is now offered with a black top boot and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The Model 1089 convertible coupe bodywork on this example was refinished in black during the build, and features include driving lamps, turn signals, a Goddess of Speed mascot, Packard-branded running boards, a black soft top with red piping, dual taillights, an integrated luggage trunk, and a fold-down luggage rack. A black top boot is included in the sale, and wear on the soft top can be seen in the gallery below.
