1958 Porsche 356A Cabriolet

This 1958 Porsche 356A Cabriolet was completed in November 1957 and delivered new to a captain in the US Air Force via Sonauto of Paris. It was purchased by the current owner on BaT in December 2023 , following a refurbishment under previous ownership which involved a repaint in red over black upholstery as well as rebuilds of the 1600cc flat-four paired and four-speed manual transaxle. Features include twin Zenith carburetors, a Dansk muffler, a black removable hardtop, 15″ wide-five wheels, teardrop taillights, and polished bumper guards and overriders. This 356A is offered on dealer consignment with refurbishment photos and a Montana title that lists the car as a 1957 model year. The Reutter-built body was stripped to bare metal and fitted with areas of replacement sheet metal by Europa Autowerks of Portland, Oregon, before it was repainted red during the refurbishment. Features include a black removable hard top, body-color bumpers with bright guards and overriders, a driver-side mirror, teardrop taillights, and a single-grille decklid. The car is not equipped with a convertible top or mechanism. The majority of photos in the gallery were taken in April 2026 and ~6 miles have been added since.
