Description
Known as "Time Traveler," this one-of-one 1961 Willys Jeep Station Wagon rat rod features an all-steel body with extensive custom fabrication and a distinctive industrial and nautical-inspired design. Finished in black with brushed-bronze accents, the exterior incorporates exposed copper tubing that operates the air ride suspension, a removable canvas roof, LED lighting and a roof-mounted anemometer connected to an interior speedometer display. Power comes from a Chevrolet 350ci V8 engine paired with a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. Engine upgrades include a Brawler double-pumper carburetor, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold, Cadillac air cleaner and heat-wrapped dual side-exit headers. The chassis features front and rear airbag suspension, QA1 shocks and red Speedway brake calipers. Bronze Black Rhino Raze wheels are fitted with Fuel Gripper M/T tires measuring 33x12.50R18LT in front and 40x15.50R24LT in the rear. The bespoke interior incorporates nautical-themed door panels with gear-sprocket handles, a steering wheel fabricated from a flywheel and flexplate, wrench-style transmission lever and hood-louver controls, and pedals made from quick-change gears. Additional details include welded bicycle-chain dashboard accents, a compass, removable Plexiglas windows and ship-inspired wood-plank flooring. Brown seats modeled after vintage restraint beds feature adjustable jack-style supports, while a levitating illuminated light bulb display is mounted above the rear fuel tank.
