Description
This 1962 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 Mk II underwent a color change to red with black leather upholstery as well as mechanical work as part of a refurbishment completed circa 1990 prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2002. The car is powered by a replacement 2.9-liter inline-six equipped with triple SU carburetors, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission coupled with a Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit. It is further equipped with 15″ knock-off wire wheels and front disc brakes in addition to a black soft top, a tonneau cover, and detachable side windows. This 3000 Mk II is now offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate and a clean District of Columbia title in the seller’s name. The car left the factory finished in black and was stripped and repainted red as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. It is accompanied by a black soft top and tonneau cover along with removable side windows. A hood scoop, a Le Mans–style fuel filler cap, and chrome bumpers with overriders are further details.
