Description
This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III was specified from the factory in British Racing Green with a black soft top over black upholstery and dispatched to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 1, 1967. The car is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six fitted with dual SU carburetors and a stainless-steel exhaust system, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission coupled with an electric overdrive unit. It is further equipped with 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, and Lucas driving lights along with a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a cabin heater, and 2+2 seating. The car was acquired by the seller in May 2021, and subsequent work in June 2026 involved adding a Wizard aluminum radiator as well as replacing the fuel pump. This 3000 Mk III is now offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, a driver’s handbook, a top boot, a tonneau cover, a car cover, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name. The car left the factory finished in British Racing Green and a folding black soft top. A badge bar and Lucas driving lights have been added up front, and further details include a hood scoop, fender-mounted mirrors, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The seller notes a tear in the soft top, and the car is accompanied by a black top boot and tonneau cover along with a gray car cover.
