1962 Morris Mini

Austin Mini Cooper Morris Traveler Wagon Custom Show Quality Restoration This 1962 Mini Cooper Morris Traveler Wagon Custom is a wonderfully unique resto-mod build, blending classic Mini charm with fun, beach-inspired styling and tasteful modern updates. A rare and cleverly executed build, this Traveler Wagon was taken down to the bare body and received a full body-off rotisserie restoration, ensuring both show-quality presentation and mechanical reliability. Under the hood, the Mini retains its period-correct character but with a rebuilt and highly detailed Austin 1.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, upgraded with a Mini Spares intake manifold and SU carburetor for improved drivability. The power is sent through a 4-speed manual transmission, keeping the car true to its original spirit while delivering plenty of fun on the road. The engine bay, like the rest of the car, was finished with careful attention to detail, showing extremely clean and well-sorted. The exterior is finished in a two-tone yellow and white basecoat/clearcoat, giving it a playful, sun-soaked appearance that is perfectly matched to the car's custom aqua-blue interior with matching carpet and oyster headliner. The flared metal front fenders and wood rear flares add both distinction and flair, while the restored hardwood trim highlights its classic wagon roots. Every piece of chrome and brightwork has been refinished, complementing the lively paintwork and adding just the right amount of shine. This Mini sits on aluminum Ultralite Formula Competition 13x7” wheels that give it a sporty stance, while front disc brakes provide improved stopping power, ensuring the car is not only fun but safe to drive. From the side glass to the rear woodwork, everything has been thoughtfully restored or customized to create a cohesive, standout design. Previously part of the Moray Keith collection, this Traveler Wagon has already been appreciated by enthusiasts and collectors alike. Its size, design, and color scheme make it an absolute crowd-pleaser, while the upgrades ensure it is not just a static showpiece but a car that can be enjoyed on the road. In short, this 1962 Mini Cooper Morris Traveler Wagon Custom is more than just a car—it's a personality on wheels. Cute, fun, and an absolute blast to drive, it is the kind of vehicle that guarantees attention wherever it goes, from beach towns to classic car shows. This is a one-of-a-kind build that beautifully balances originality, creativity, and drivability.
