Description
Introduced with the T6 body for 1962, the Porsche 356B is distinguished by twin engine-lid grilles, an external fuel filler in the right front fender, and a larger rear window than its predecessor. This example is finished in white over a black vinyl interior and is reported to be a lifelong California car, accompanied by its original black license plates. The car has recently received an extensive mechanical refresh, including a full tune-up, a rebuilt braking system, and new suspension components. Acquired by the seller in 2016, this T6 Coupe is now being offered for auction in California.
Finished in white, this 356B wears chrome bumpers with overriders and rides on white powder-coated 15” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and Vredestein Sprint Classic tires from 2019. The seller has not confirmed the originality of the paint, and notes that they have not performed any paintwork, describing the car as a solid driver with light surface-rust patina and a couple of small dents. The hood and rear deck lid are noted as straight, the doors close properly, and the windshield has a small crack. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black vinyl interior is described by the seller as all original to 1962, including the carpet, seat covers, headliner, and door and side panels. The original Blaupunkt radio and speakers are retained and reported to work, and the seller confirms that all gauges function properly.
