Description
KEY FACTS This Porsche 912 is a classic and charming air-cooled sports coupe, presented in a striking factory colour scheme. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre air-cooled flat-four, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual ‘dog-leg’ (901/2) transmission. First registered in 1966, this example was previously registered in the USA and is now located in Australia and is unregistered. The odometer indicates circa 52,144 miles, though this is not warranted. Build year: 1966 EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES This 912 is finished in the rare and understated shade of Aga Blue with a contrasting white roundel on the bonnet and red Mobil 1 ‘Pegasus’ decals on the front wings, over a black leatherette-trimmed interior, punctuated by wood veneer and chrome trim. It rides on a set of 15-inch steel wheels. Equipment includes a period-style chrome luggage rack with wooden slats, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a five gauge cluster, an analogue clock, glow-in-the-dark VDO gauges, and push-out front and rear quarter light windows. Upgrades include 1976 911 A-arms (lower control arms) with integrated ball joints, rear spring plates, new shocks and bushes. The engine features velocity stacks on the Solex carburettors and a Dansk muffler. It is also fitted with a period-style Cobra Classic RS driver’s seat. Accompanying the sale is a Production Specifications document, Pennsylvania Certificate of Title, and a Bill of Lading.
