Description
This 1970 Pontiac GTO is powered by its matching-numbers 400ci V8 engine paired with a matching-numbers 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission with a shift kit. PHS-documented and originally sold in California, it underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2019 that included refinishing the body in the correct Palladium Silver with a black Cordova top and rebuilding the 400ci V8. A comprehensive service was performed in 2026, including work to the brakes, starter, alternator and carburetor, along with replacement of the belts, filters, fan clutch and transmission governor. Power is sent to the rear wheels, and a dual exhaust system features Flowmaster mufflers, a crossover pipe, quad exhaust tips and electric cutouts. Equipment includes power steering, power brakes, Rally gauges, a body-color Endura front bumper, quad headlights, a twin-scoop hood and 15-inch Rally II wheels fitted with 245/60 front and 255/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A full-size spare is housed in the trunk. The interior features reupholstered black vinyl bucket seats, a center console, Hurst Dual-Gate shifter, replaced carpeting and headliner, a new padded dashboard and faux woodgrain trim on the instrument panel and console. The factory air conditioning system has been converted to R-134a refrigerant. An AM/FM RetroSound stereo with Bluetooth connectivity is connected to an amplifier mounted in the trunk, package-tray and kick-panel speakers, and a hands-free microphone. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, combination gauge and tachometer. Pontiac Historic Services documentation is included. The five-digit odometer shows 61,378 miles, (Miles not listed on title)
