Description
The 1970 model year brought the first major update to the original Porsche 911, introducing a larger 2.2-liter flat-six. This 1970 Porsche 911T Coupe is refinished in silver over black interior upholstery and is powered by the 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Under the same ownership since 1977, it has received a rebuilt engine within the last 4k miles and is accompanied by service records dating back to the 1970s, along with a recent comprehensive inspection. It is now being offered for auction in California.
This example is said to have been refinished in silver in 2003 and rides on 15" Fuchs alloy wheels dressed in Goodyear tires dated to 2018. Details include chrome trim, lower front fog lights, a hood vent, a driver's side mirror, protective rubber moldings over the bumperettes, an AMCO accessory bar mounted across the rear bumperettes, and a polished side-exit exhaust outlet. The seller notes that the repaint is a slightly different shade of silver and would benefit from a wet sand or paint correction, and that the tires could be replaced. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin presents black upholstery spanning the seats, dashboard, and door panels. A matching carpet lines the floor, and a contrasting beige headliner completes the surroundings. Equipment includes roll-up windows, VDO instrumentation, a four-spoke steering wheel, and a locking glovebox. The front seats have recently been recovered and the headliner replaced, while the seller notes a rough left door pocket, a dash topper, and an inoperative clock.
