1972 BMW 2002 Tii

Introduced for the 1972 model year as a more powerful, fuel-injected evolution of BMW's celebrated 2002 sports sedan, the 2002tii combined the compact proportions and engaging driving dynamics of the 02 Series with enhanced performance and mechanical sophistication. Powered by a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four engine equipped with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection, the 2002tii featured a 4-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension, and semi-trailing-arm rear suspension. Finished in the vibrant and highly recognizable Colorado orange over a black interior, this 1972 BMW 2002tii was reportedly refinished around 2015 and features an aftermarket ANSA sport exhaust system, a Sony stereo, and an upgraded driver's sport seat. Having remained with its previous Ontario-based owner from 2017 until September 2026, this classic BMW is now being offered for auction in Canada.

The exterior is finished in Colorado, a distinctive period BMW color that accentuates the 2002tii's clean, upright proportions and timeless styling. The bodywork was reportedly repainted around 2015 and retains the model's signature round headlights, slim chrome bumpers, bright window surrounds, front vent windows, and characteristic Hofmeister kink at the rear pillars.
