Description
This 1973 BMW 2002tii was initially delivered to Hoffman Motors Corporation of New York, and it was the subject of a 2007 refurbishment by ACT 1 Restorations of Calimesa, California, with work that included repainting the body in Inka, reupholstering the interior and door panels in black vinyl, and servicing the suspension and brakes as well as overhauling the Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection pump, installing a Pertronix electronic ignition system, and rebuilding the replacement 2.0-liter M10 inline-four with a machined crankshaft, high-compression pistons, a resurfaced cylinder head, and more. The car rides on 13″ FPS-style alloy wheels, and additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a sunroof, round taillights, re-plated bumpers, Bilstein suspension dampers, and a refurbished cabin heater. The car was exported to Canada in 2012, and it was brought back to the US in 2026. This roundie tii is offered in New Hampshire with a BMW Group Archives certificate, a signed restoration agreement, service and parts receipts, historical registration documents, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name. Originally Verona, the car was refinished in Inka by ACT 1 Restorations of Calimesa, California, in 2007. Exterior details include a sunroof, round taillights, dual mirrors, re-plated chrome bumpers with overriders, and a replacement windshield. Additional work carried out as part of the refurbishment included replacing the emblems, brightwork, license plate lights, windshield washer system components, and various seals. The seller tells us that BMW and Sekurit markings are visible on the rear and side windows, while the windshield is a Pilkington-branded replacement.
