1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle

This ‘72 is an original flat windshield Super Beetle. Produced before the switch to curved windshields later in 1972. A well maintained and cared for SB. IIt was originally sold in FL then was sold to someone in CA where it remained for many years. I am the 3rd owner of this 53 yr old vintage bug. The long block was professionally rebuilt at 102K miles by PO. Currently has 120,421 miles.

I have rebuilt the top end of engine with new Bosch generator and SS Voltage regulator, New 34 Pict 3 Carb, Pertronix Flame Thrower 1 SVDA electronic distributor, Flame Thrower Epoxy Coil, Ignition Wires, Fuel Pump with ethanol resistant fuel lines. Full brake replacement, Master Cylinder, Wheel Cylinders, Hoses, Shoes and hardware and new rear shocks.

This is not a Concourse level beetle. It is a great running, reliable daily driver that has potential to become a show car if desired. Needs some work that I have not been able to complete due to changes in life circumstances and work schedule. The interior dash pad is original and is cracked and chipped. I began replacing the glove box, windshield wiper motor and wiring, turn signal switch but have not been able to complete the work. I have been driving it with an after market turn signal switch. I am reluctantly forced to sell her because I am not able to continue restoration. Vin numbers all match on windshield and body locations. It will eventually need new tires but are serviceable. The floor pans and heater channels are solid, no rot. It is registered, insured and runs great.
