Description
Introduced in 1976, the 924 was the first road-going Porsche to use a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. To distinguish the Turbo and sharpen it into a genuine sports car, Porsche added a NACA-ducted hood and additional air intakes in the nose, along with four-wheel disc brakes on five-stud hubs, spoke-style alloy wheels, and a 5-speed manual transmission. This 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo is finished in Mocha Brown over a tan leather interior and includes a removable sunroof, power windows, air conditioning, and 928-style wheels. Showing approximately 116k miles, this 924 Turbo is now being offered for auction at no reserve in California.
The car is finished in Mocha Brown and can be distinguished as a Turbo model by its NACA-ducted hood, additional front air inlets, and black polyurethane rear spoiler. It rides on 5-spoke wheels sourced from a 928S, wrapped in Hankook tires said to be a few years old. The seller describes the exterior as in very good shape with no dents or scratches, noting minor paint chips on the bumpers and passenger side, and states that the car was garaged for most of the ownership period and kept covered outdoors for the last three years.
