Description
This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera is a Rest-of-World cabriolet that is said to have been overhauled in San Francisco in the 1990s. The work involved retrofitting turbo-look wide fenders, installing a replacement 3.2-liter M930/20 flat-six, and a repaint in blue over a refreshed white interior. Other details include a 915 five-speed manual transaxle, multi-piece 15″ Fuchs-style wheels, power-adjustable seats, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and air conditioning. Acquired by the seller in 2018, the car was serviced with brake refurbishments in 2025, and its power-operated soft top was repaired in September 2026. This turbo-look Carrera cabriolet is offered with records from current ownership and a California title in the seller’s name. The seller tells us that the car had a Salvage title when it was retrofitted with steel 930 Turbo-specification fenders circa 30 years ago, at which time it was refinished in blue. Some flaws are pictured in close-up photos shared below in the gallery, which also shows paint-meter readings taken around the vehicle. Details include a Turbo-style front valance, Euro-spec H4 headlights, and a power-operated black convertible soft top, for which electronics were repaired in September 2026 by GD Racing of San Bruno, California. Exterior ceramic coating was applied in preparation for the sale, as well.
