Description
The Porsche 944 Turbo, internally designated the 951, debuted for the 1986 model year as the flagship model in the 944 lineup. Powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine paired with a rear-mounted 5-speed manual transaxle, the 944 Turbo is celebrated for its near-perfect weight distribution, exceptional handling, and performance-focused engineering. Enhancements over the standard 944 include revised aerodynamics, upgraded suspension, and Brembo four-piston calipers with larger ventilated rotors developed from Porsche's motorsport experience. Finished in Garnet Red Metallic over a Light Grey leather interior, this well-preserved example shows approximately 66k miles and is now being offered in Massachusetts with a clean title. The exterior is equipped with the Turbo-specific front fascia featuring integrated brake cooling ducts, body-colored rear diffuser, pop-up headlights with washers, integrated fog lights, a removable power tilt sunroof, rear window wiper, and factory silver 16-inch Phone Dial alloy wheels. The wheels are mounted with new Hankook Ventus V2 Concept2 (H457) ultra-high-performance all-season tires in a staggered configuration, measuring 205/55 up front and 225/50 at the rear. The seller notes minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with age, as well as cracking in the paint protection film along the sides. The exterior retains what the seller states appears to be its original Garnet Red Metallic finish. Consistent paint meter readings throughout the vehicle are provided in the gallery for bidder review along with a clean CARFAX report.
