1988 BMW M6

Vehicle Description 1988 BMW M6 $59,995 Here is a very nice 1988 BMW M6 in great shape with just 70,976 actual miles. The Cinnabar Red paint pops and looks fantastic against the BMW rims. The black front grille and bumper complement the black trim, spoiler, and rear bumper nicely. All the body panels appear straight, and the panel gaps are even throughout. The M6 badges are present and correctly placed, and the stance looks proper for the year. If you like BMWs but prefer something without all the modern high-tech information highway distractions, this is an alternative we guarantee you will appreciate. The interior shows well for this BMW's age. It does have a few signs of use, but they are the typical marks that come from enjoying the car over the years. The tan leather seats and matching door panels remain in good condition. The carpet and headliner are also holding up nicely. The stock steering wheel sits ahead of a clean set of factory gauges that are clear and easy to read. The center console and shifter are in good shape and house the power seat controls. A Kenwood head unit has been neatly installed in the dashboard for updated audio. The back seats remain in good condition, the sunroof closes tightly, and out back, the trunk is clean, spacious, and ready for use. Power comes from a 3.5-liter inline-6 equipped with factory individual throttle bodies (ITBs). The engine is paired with a Getrag 280 5-speed manual transmission, sending power to a limited-slip rear axle with a 3.91 gear ratio. Factory-style front and rear suspension components have been refreshed with Bilstein shocks and new bushings, while power disc brakes at all four corners provide confident stopping power. Front and rear BMW 17-inch wheels get wrapped in 235/45R17 Bridgestone Potenza tires, and a spare set of original metric Style-5 17-inch wheels is included. A factory-style OEM muffler system keeps the exhaust note refined while still delivering the sound expected from a classic BMW luxury sports car.
