Description
The 928 GT served as the manual-transmission, higher-performance variant of Porsche's front-engine V8 grand tourer, produced from 1989 to 1991 with a naturally aspirated V8 and a standard limited-slip differential. This 1991 example is finished in Guards Red over black leather and pairs its V8 with a 5-speed manual transaxle. Under second ownership since 1996, the engine has undergone two rebuilds, including a 2005 overbore to 5.4 liters with Carrillo connecting rods, Mahle pistons, and refurbished cylinder heads, followed by a 2008 rebuild adding Nikasil-coated cylinders and SharkTuner engine-management tuning. The car has since been driven sparingly and recently recommissioned following a period off the road. Showing approximately 89k miles, this lifelong garage-stored 928 GT is now being offered for auction in California.
The car is finished in original Guards Red and features pop-up headlights with washers, integrated fog lights, tinted windows, body-color GTS mirror housings, a debadged rear, a sunroof, a rear wing, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on forged 17" Fikse FM10 wheels mounted with 235/45 front and 265/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires fitted in June 2026. The hood and hatch struts were replaced in 2026. The seller notes some very small paint imperfections and states that no paint protection film is applied. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
