KEY FACTS This 964-generation Porsche 911 Carrera RS is a rare and rewarding modern classic performance coupe. It is powered by a 3.6-litre naturally aspirated air-cooled flat-six, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. First registered in 1992, this example was originally delivered to Germany and is now located in France. The odometer indicates 124,516 km, though this is not warranted. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The 964-era 911 Carrera RS was based on the Carrera 2, and was produced to homologate the model for Group N and GT events. In the interest of weight-saving, the car featured manually adjustable lightweight bucket seats, manually operated windows and door mirrors, and the omission of the air conditioning, rear seats, sound insulation and alarm systems, saving around 100kg over the standard model. Finished in Guards Red with contrasting silver ‘Carrera RS’ side decals, over a black and grey leather-trimmed interior. It rides on a set of 17-inch magnesium ‘Cup’ alloy wheels fitted with Bridgestone S-02 tyres. Equipment includes an electrically operated rear spoiler, heater and ventilation controls, red seat belts, and a top-tinted windscreen. This example has been fitted with an Alcantara-trimmed Momo steering wheel, metal pedal covers, a Pioneer stereo, aftermarket door speakers, and an Alfano Pro lap timer and data logger.
