Description
1999 Jaguar XK8. This is a car I purchased in Sept. 2001. It's been garaged ever since. New tires in 2024, rebuilt transmission in 2024. The ABS module isn't functioning properly. It still drives well. Has not been in an accident or have flood damage. 4.o litre V8 , automatic 5 speed transmission. Platinum exterior with dark gray interior leather seats. Curly Maple dash board trim and steering wheel. I have had seat covers in the front since 2001. The cup holder broke and I jerryrigged a tin can with velcro to hold a drink. The car was serviced by the Tucson Jaguar dealership for 18 years. The mechanics there are not trained to work on cars older than 10 years and the older mechanics finally retired so I found Tucson Foreign Auto and they have cared for her since. I have all the service records dating back to 2001. She has 2 speed windshild wipers with intermittant feature. Headlights have auto feature, too. There is a slight scratch on the hood where something that flew off a pickup truck on the highway struck the hood. She has 17" custom chrome wheels. A six CD player in the trunk and a cassette tape deck along with AM/FM radio on the dash. The retractable antenna works fine. She has windshield and headlight washers that work. I just replaced the battery in Oct. 2026. I have two keys and two working key fobs. I applied a window tint as well as a windshield tint years ago. I have routinely changed the oil every 3000 miles or 6 months whichever came first along with filters. The A/C and heat work well. The driver side visor mirror cover is broken such that it won't stay snapped shut. The same for the passenger side visor. They are cheap plactic parts not really designed for long term wear and tear. The exterior and interior lights work fine. She has heated seats that, last time I tried them, they worked fine, too. Since I live in Tucson, not much need for heated seats.
