2001 Porsche 911 TURBO

Offered for sale is this 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe, finished in Guards Red over a Savanna Beige leather interior, powered by a 3.6-liter twin turbo flat-six engine, running power to all four wheels through an six-speed manual transmission, with 45,395 miles on the odometer. Fresh from the sale of our Meridian Silver 2001 996 Turbo, we offer yet another great example, in a popular color spec and in great condition. We know there was some controversy for the water-cooled 996 at the time compared to all the air-cooled 911 predecessors, but over time these have appreciated in value for good reason. The platform itself is stout, and the Metzger engine is legendarily durable, capable of handling much more power and holding up very well as they age. The powerful engine does have more of an old-school character with a proper shove as the turbos ramp up to full boost, giving the car a more involved analog feel compared to newer versions, both thrilling and controllable. This example of the 911 Turbo comes in Porsche’s popular Guards Red finish, and Savanna Beige leather interior. Options include the factory sport seats with embossed Porsche crests, aluminum shifter and handbrake trim, BOSE audio system, and bumperette delete. Mechanically in excellent shape, a new set of Michelin Pilot PS4’s was added for proper modern grip. A comprehensive mechanical inspection was performed prior to sale, with all services on this low mileage 996 turbo up to date.
