Description
In 2002, the final year of fourth-generation Camaro production, Chevrolet marked the model’s 35th anniversary with a special edition of the SS. Built on the Z28 and finished by SLP Automotive in Canada, approximately 1,3989 35th Anniversary Edition convertibles are reported to have been built.
All were finished in Bright Rally Red with distinctive silver checkered flag graphics, and they were based on the Camaro SS with its 5.7L V8 rated at 325 hp when new.
This convertible was originally delivered to Coggin Chevrolet in Kissimmee, Florida, and was equipped with the SS Performance/Appearance Package and the 35th Anniversary Special Edition. It has a 5.7L LS1 V8, a four-speed automatic transmission, and SLP installed an exhaust system reported to add another 20 hp when the car was new.
Additional factory equipment includes fog lamps, a six-way power driver’s seat, a power-folding soft top, a Monsoon 500-watt audio system, and four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock.
The odometer now shows approximately 21,400 miles.
This 35th Anniversary Edition Chevrolet Camaro convertible is now offered with a window sticker, manufacturer's literature, clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, and a clean New York title in the seller's name.
