Description
Developed by Porsche's motorsport department in Weissach and built alongside the production 911 in Zuffenhausen, the 997 GT3 Cup is a purpose-built factory race car derived from the road-going GT3 and campaigned in the Porsche Carrera Cup, GT3 Cup Challenge, and PCA club racing. Its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six produces 394 HP, paired with a 6-speed sequential gearbox allowing full-throttle upshifts. This 2009 997.1 GT3 Cup is presented as a turn-key, race-proven example fresh off a championship-winning 2025 season and prepared for GTC4 competition. Its original, undamaged chassis shows approximately 70 total hours and is accompanied by official logbooks documenting its history. This GT3 Cup is now being offered for auction in Wisconsin.
Factory Cup cars are finished as standard in Carrara White with lightweight carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) body panels, and this example is said to have been repainted, which the seller states has reversed much of the track rash while some general wear remains. The bodywork is described as highly original aside from the repaint. Details include lightweight Lexan windows, aero mirrors, a large rear wing, and a center-fill hood. A new Lexan windshield and new side glass have been installed. The car currently rides on 18" BBS three-piece center-lock wheels wearing 2025 Pirelli P Zero slicks, described as worn but still trackable, and three complete sets of BBS E87 center-lock wheels are included in the sale.
