Description
This 1966 Plymouth Barracuda was parked unused in a garage for about seven years before being purchased by the seller in late 2025. The seller subsequently performed work to the electrical, cooling, and braking systems and also patched the floorpans. Powered by a 273ci V8 linked with a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission and a Sure-Grip differential, the car has been repainted in red over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes slotted 14″ wheels, power steering, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and a dual exhaust system. This Barracuda is now offered at no reserve with service records from current ownership, spare parts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. Plymouth launched the Valiant-based Barracuda fastback in April 1964, and the carmaker built some 38k units for the 1966 model year, approximately 21,500 of which were equipped with a 273ci V8. The model featured a distinctive curved rear window, deck lid, and roofline. Finished from the factory in special-order paint (999) and originally pink, according to the seller, this example has been repainted in red.
